The GR12 (Grande Randonnée) is a 985 km long walking trail from Amsterdam to Paris, through Brussels.
The route is seperated in several parts.
The first 245 km in The Netherlands are known as Floris V-pad and goes from Amsterdam to Bergen op Zoom near the Belgian border.
Next two parts are in Belgium. 263 km of trail will take us from the border with The Netherlands around Antwerp and through Brussels to Walonia and another 213 km from there to the French border. The last final stretch of will take the determined hiker all the way to the official end of the GR12 near Paris. From where an unofficial route continues to the city center of the French capital.
From north to south, the route passes through:
Netherlands: Amsterdam, Muiden, Woerden, Schoonhoven, Dordrecht, Willemstad, Bergen op Zoom
Belgium: Antwerp, Lier, Mechelen, Brussels, Braine-le-Château, Anderlues, Walcourt, Viroinval
France: Rocroi, Signy-l’Abbaye, Amifontaine, Soissons, Pierrefonds, Verberie, Senlis, Coye-la-Forêt
