The morning mist is blocking the view and snow appears on both sides of the track.
The road makes a right turn after Saribulut where immediately after the turn a small path goes right just before an old watermill. The paths goes to the Satibe Campsite.
Reaching the ridge with Satibe campsite from the southern slope.
I walked a while through the snow to get some other views. Sunglasses could have been useful here…
Once on top of the ridge between I realized I couldn’t go any further as I was not equiped for snow crossing and had no experience at all with this.
I returned to the main track and followed it zigzagging towards Borasan.
I followed the main track until a path went down through some abandoned houses. I descended through this abandoned village following a path marked red and yellow.
When I reached the river i discovered a small stone bridge had been completely destroyed by flood. I walked about half hour up the stream to find this tree as the only option to cross the wild river.
I returned towards Barhal following this river downstream through a very beautiful valley.
I got a ride back from Barhal to Yusufeli arranged by the cafe owner. From Yusufeli I hitchhiked to Tortum lake where I camped on the small peninsula of Tortum Lake.
